Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, we are the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. RV exists to develop, promote and grow the sport of thoroughbred racing in Victoria.

Racing Victoria’s globally celebrated Spring Racing Carnival & Festival of Racing holds a special place in the hearts of Australians and are centrepieces in Australia’s sporting and social calendars.

We are looking for Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified candidates to fill the role of Customer Service Representative on a casual basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for all inbound telephone enquiries from Nominators, Owners, Participants and customers of the Victorian Racing Industry;
  • Provide timely and accurate email customer service by monitoring and responding to all customer email enquiries within 24 hours; 
  • Provide timely and accurate processing of Victorian Racing back-of-house administration forms, nominations and documentation pertaining to the Victorian Racing industry. 
  • Liaise with external third parties such as Trainers and Sales Houses to collect relevant customer and/or horse information when required.
  • Utilise the CRM and other systems to record, track and communicate customer enquiries whilst maintaining integrity of the data; 
  • Where applicable, process customer payments for Ownership and VOBIS Nominations in the relevant systems;

Skills and capabilities required:

  • Experience in high volume inbound call center experience
  • Demonstrated customer service or data entry experience with a proven commitment to the principles of customer service
  • Team focused with strong organisational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry advantageous but not essential
  • Competence with the Microsoft Office suite of products, email and the internet
