Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity.
We are looking for a suitable qualified Delivery Lead to join our Digital Transformation & Technology Team.
The Opportunity:
The role of the Delivery Lead at RV is responsible the delivery of Squad(s) goal and objectives through the facilitation of Agile Development practises including epic/ feature estimation, prioritisation, iteration planning and showcases
You will be driven, confident and proactive in your interactions with various and diverse stakeholders to achieve a desirable outcome.
Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Help establish a Long-Lived Team, establish and facilitate ceremonies based on organisations agile approach;
- Work with Senior Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Architects to breakdown work, prioritise and plan requirements to demonstrate iterative and incremental value delivery;
- Work with internal stakeholders to build a pipeline of projects and plan delivery based on available team capacity/ flex-up and maintain a clear view of financials across major initiatives;
- Facilitate and lead workshops – including epic/ feature estimation, prioritisation, iteration planning and showcases;
- End-to-end responsibility for managing delivery across multiple squads and component teams – ensuring deliverables are completed to agreed timeframes;
- Play an active role in coaching, mentoring and influencing key stakeholders, business sponsors, product owners and mentoring delivery team where needed;
- Work closely with Portfolio Manager to improve visibility and transparency using agile practices at Portfolio, Program and Team level;
- Ensure adherence to Delivery standards and frameworks, take responsibility for status reporting, managing delivery risks and issues;
- Proactively Contribute to overall maturity of Agile capability in the team;
- Depending on the delivery method Delivery Lead may also assume contract / vendor management and budget responsibilities.
About you:
As the successful candidate, you must possess the following:
- 5+ years as an Agile Delivery Lead practitioner in a Digital Product led organisation;
- Qualified in and have a deep working knowledge with Agile delivery methodology in support of business transition to Agile ways of working
- Significant experience with configuring and maintaining the Atlassian Product suite e.g. Jira, Confluence;
- Excellent stakeholder management, vendor management and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take on accountability for complex pieces of work and work autonomously;
- Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals;
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
- A tertiary qualification in a Business or Technology discipline;
- Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, SAFe Agilist or similar is required.
