Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity.

 The Opportunity

The Program Delivery Manager is responsible for the implementation of Racing Victoria’s Integrity transformation agenda. This role is expected to provide management and analytical expertise to identify, monitor and report on business improvement opportunities and delivery of agreed program initiatives.


You will be highly visible across the organisation and will be tasked with turning the Integrity Services Department’s (ISD) transformation strategy and roadmap into a defined set of initiatives and long-lasting solutions. Your experience working in Project Management, will help navigate the ISD through transformation, change management, process re-design and solution implementation.


You will have previous business improvement Program and Project Management experience, ideally working through Change or Transformation programs. The ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and all level of the organisation and have strong negotiation skills will help you succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the ISD program including overseeing scope, budget, schedule, outcomes, risks, benefits and outcomes;
  • Actively engage with business owners to ensure up-front involvement during initiative scoping and goal setting.
  • Work with ISD leadership team to ensure program initiatives are clearly defined with the stakeholders and support the needs of the business.
  • Identify and develop business improvement activities that respond to the needs of the ISD.
  • Work independently on initiatives to achieve transformation plans and communication strategies to ensure business acceptance and success.
  • Monitor progress of each initiative against initial plans, to ensure that the benefits identified flow through to the business unit P&Ls.
  • Aid organisational change across multiple areas such as Communication and Training
  • Define the business's current end to end process to improve end user satisfaction

 

About you

As the successful candidate, you must possess the following:

  • Proven leadership within Program and Project Management engagements across all project phases i.e. “cradle-to-grave”.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage multiple streams of work. Advanced program scoping skills
  • The ability to take ownership of situations, whilst working collaboratively with the business owners and project teams, including external vendors
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically and commercially with a high level of discretion for confidential information.
  • Operational analysis experience, in medium to large scale implementations or organisational transformation projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and effectively with a range of business and project stakeholders through exceptional oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Developing and executing a project communications plan
  • Ability to manage, lead, influence and resolve conflict with multiple stakeholders
  • Challenging current practices and implement business improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability in process improvement and champion its implementation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline
