RV are looking for a suitably qualified Operations Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will be reporting to the Finance Manager.
About the Opportunity:
Our Finance team has an exciting full-time opportunity available for an experienced Operations Accountant. This role will see you contribute to the financial sustainability of the thoroughbred racing industry by providing financial support to Racing Victoria, key stakeholders and related entities as required.
This role will see you responsible for such things as:
- Supporting the Finance Operations team, which includes assisting with financial reporting and month end tasks for RV and associated entities.
- Assist in the payment and reconciliation of prizemoney to industry participants.
- Provide assistance with year-end statutory accounts production and external audit process.
- Delivery and compliance of indirect tax returns (namely BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax) for RV and associated entities.
- Assist in cost and process efficiency improvements within RV Finance and the wider organisational departments.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be a degree and CA/CPA qualified accountant, with experience in a similar operational accounting role. You will be a driven individual who is proactive, analytical and has excellent interpersonal skills.
Your ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and external clients will be key to the success of the role.
