RV is looking for a suitably qualified Victorian Bookmaker- Off-Course Betting Supervisor to join our team, reporting to the Manager- Wagering Operations.
The role will be a 12-month fixed term contract.
The opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Victorian Bookmaker – Off-Course Betting Supervisor is to supervise and regulate the off-course activity of licenced Victorian Bookmakers.
This role will have particular focus on Victorian Bookmakers licensed to conduct betting from off-course premises, to promote compliance with Racing Victoria (RV) rules, conditions, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
As key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing effective regulation of Victorian Bookmakers that are licensed by RV ensuring their compliance RV rules and their licence conditions.
- Certification, testing and auditing of Approved Betting Systems (ABS) used by Victorian Bookmakers to ensure compliance with RV rules and operating standards.
- Effectively execute and enhance supervisory and audit procedures for monitoring and regulating Victorian Bookmaker activity from off-course premises with various compliance and monitoring activities.
- Develop a risk-based methodology to govern the level of supervisory focus applied among the Victorian off-course Bookmaker cohort
- Contribute to the ongoing development of relevant RV rules and policies as they relate to RV’s regulation of wagering activity.
