RV are looking for a passionate technologist and customer centric service desk engineer to joining the Digital Transformation and Technology.

About the Opportunity:

Reporting to Platform and Cyber Security Manager and working alongside other Service Desk and Systems Engineers, this role will provide proactive incident resolution and service request management for diverse range of applications, software, hardware and networking systems.

The Service Desk Support Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximise the benefit of IT systems investments.

Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Provide level 1, 2 and occasional level 3 remote and onsite support.
  • Manage the life cycle of all service tickets/incidents.
  • Establish preventive maintenance programs to ensure ongoing supply of service and minimise potential downtime.
  • Ensure service requests for applications, hardware, software, network systems and user administration are managed as per established processes.
  • Oversee the remote monitoring and management system alerts and respond accordingly through service tickets.
  • Monitor and perform regular audits of the network environment to detect any unauthorised software or devices.
  • Perform on call afterhours and weekend support duties as part of a rotating roster within the Platform Services team
  • Proactively maintain IT asset records and associated CMDB including Active Directory.
  • Securely maintain IT’s operational and physical environments in line with corporate security policies, standards and work practices.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing IT support in a Service Desk environment.
  • Great customer service and work ethic.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Robust knowledge and hands on experience in Microsoft Azure AD and O365 environment, including Teams telephony.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, O365 Security and Compliance is highly advantageous.
  • Hands on experience with private, public and hybrid Cloud technologies.
  • Experience in SOE.
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining Windows, Linux and MacOS OS environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, IPSEC tunnels, SSL VPN, Network Segmentation etc. in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience in using Desktop Support Management tools (eg. Teamviewer)
  • Experience with ZenDesk (highly regarded).
  • Experience with physical and virtual server, storage and networks.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of Microsoft server OS, DNS, GPO, AD, DHCP, ADFS, SCCM, Remote Apps etc. in an enterprise environment.
  • Enterprise experience in Email, Web, Endpoint security.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting of platforms, applications and networks in an enterprise environment.
