Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote, and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity and grow engagement in the sport.
RV is looking for a suitably qualified Digital Marketing Lead to join our Customer Strategy and Engagement team. This exciting role in sports marketing and will be reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager.
The opportunity:
The Digital Marketing Lead will assist with digital media strategy, media-buying, reporting and agency management. The role will work across all Racing Victoria’s (RV) digital and campaign channels to drive visitation, engagement, and enhancement of RV’s current and future-state digital footprint.
Key responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities for this role are, but not limited to:
- Support the design and ongoing development of The All-Star Mile website and voting platform
- Design and lead the digital content and paid social strategy for all RVL’s campaign channels including but not limited to the Spring Racing Carnival and The All-Star Mile
- Audit and report on campaign performance to support effective optimisation of campaign deliverables
- Design and lead a social engagement strategy that includes but is not limited to running campaign competitions and give-aways.
- Support the design and implementation of the paid digital acquisition strategy for RV across all consumer facing digital assets
- Design and lead the paid digital strategy for all (display, search, PPC, SEO, and SEM) RV campaign-related activity
- Work with racing.com to leverage existing third-party assets and content to improve ROI and amplify content opportunities
- Use Google Analytics to measure and report on real-time campaign performance for all digital marketing campaigns
About you:
You are an individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced and hands on team environment. Some of the skills and experience you will have include:
- Demonstratable experience in a similar role, including digital marketing and media experience
- Previous experience managing digital Agency relationships
- Strong experience and skills in Google Analytics
- Extensive experience working with relevant digital and social media platforms Including Tik Tok.
- Demonstrate an understanding of enterprise software, CMS (preferably Sitecore), SEO, SEM, HTML (ability to read and edit), email automation and analytics platforms
- Demonstrate sound organisational, interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Evidence of a team focus with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects/issues
- Relevant tertiary marketing qualifications(s) in Business, Sport Management or Marketing.
