About Us:

Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity. 

We are looking for an Off The Track Program Coordinator to join our Equine Welfare Team.  This is a rare and exciting opportunity to coordinate RV’s flagship OTT Program.

About the Opportunity:

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver the expanded Off The Track Program with particular focus on initiatives that drive demand and longevity for competitive and non-competitive thoroughbreds post-racing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End to end management of all OTT sponsorship agreements and deliverables
  • Event management of all OTT and equine welfare events and activations
  • Develop and deliver initiatives that promote horse claims and member engagement on the OTT Community Platform.
  • Manage content strategy on the OTT Community Platform.
  • Manage Equine Business Grants Program.
  • Drive communications and promotions to industry and wider public through avenues such as social media, website, content, PR opportunities and sponsorships.
  • Continue to build the bridge between racing owners and post racing options for retired racehorses.
  • Demonstrate continuous OTT Program innovation, including the launch of new programs such as an Owners Support Program. 

 About You:

You will thrive in a fast paced and hands on team environment. Some of the skills and experience you will have include:

  • Demonstrated sponsorship account management and events management experience
  • Experience in managing grant programs
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the thoroughbred and/or equestrian industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which facilitate interaction with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and forward planning skills.
  • Team focused with sound organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple issues/projects.
  • Ability to work on weekends at OTT events.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Equine Studies, Animal Science Equine Science, Equine Business Management, Marketing is desirable
