Racing Victoria has a rare and exciting opportunity to join the team as a Racing Operations Coordinator.
About the Opportunity:
The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate the processing and distribution of all race field information for Racing Victoria (acceptance, nominations and trials).
A key part of this role will be assisting in the compilation of Victorian race programs and also assisting with compiling the monthly files require for inside racing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the collation, distribution and processing of all race field information for Victoria
- Coordinate all race times, race orders and race headings for Victorian Race meetings
- Monitor and implement Victoria’s division and deleted race policies
- compile and distribute all fields for Victoria’s official trials
- Assist the Racing Operations Department in compiling Victorian Metropolitan and Country Race Programs
- Assist in compiling and distributing the Victoria’s official trial and jump out schedule
- Maintain Programming Logbook to enhance future programming decision
- Coordinate all Racing Operations communication procedures (email and SMS)
- Compile and distribute Racing Operations industry notices
- Liaise with industry participants and deal with internal and external queries
- Liaise with Racing.com, Sky Channel, Channel 7 and Race Clubs on race times
- Provide administrative support where required to Victorian Race Clubs (Metro and Country)
About You:
You will thrive in a fast paced and hands on team environment. Some of the skills and experience you will have include:
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of racing
- Outstanding time management
- Ability to work cohesively and positively within a team environment.
- Competence with the Microsoft Office suite of products, email and familiar with the SNS system (desirable but not required)
- An understanding of all personnel and their role in racing
- A Knowledge of the rules of racing and a practical understanding of how they apply to the processing of race fields.
