Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity.
We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Best Bets & Winning Post Team in the role of Racing Data Coordinator on a full time fixed term basis for 6 months.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an administration professional to join our team on a full time fixed term basis reporting to the Managing Editor - Best Bets & Winning Post.
This role will assist with providing Jumpouts information into the runner form via the Racing.com platform to be made available to Punters.
Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Coordination, data entry and uploading results from all Victorian Thoroughbred Jumpout meetings;
- Liaise with and coordinate provision of accurate Jumpouts information from host race clubs;
- Create Jumpout Schedule & import into Racing Australia’s (RA) Single National System (SNS);
- Review and upload Jumpouts data file into Sitecore;
- Create Jumpout meeting and load individual heats in SNS;
- Review Jumpout race footage, confirm and Quality Assurance (QA) finishing order and accuracy of silks and data information and enter into SNS;
- Support evolution and enhancement of the Jumpout process and user experience, including potential integration of Jumpout video comments and content for broader use within RV assets and platforms including Best Bets and Winning Post.
About you:
As the successful candidate, you must possess the following:
- Prior experience with digital platforms and websites, managing and/or loading data and content;
- Strong attention to detail and deadline driven;
- Collaborative, ‘can-do’ approach and ability to work as part of a team develop strong relationships internally and externally;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
