The Opportunity:

Our Finance team has an exciting full-time opportunity available for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor. The primary focus of this position will be performing internal audit and related services pertaining to approved Wagering Service Providers, Joint Venture partner Tabcorp and Victorian Bookmakers. This role will see you deliver internal audit services to through identifying audit risk, analysing internal controls and ensuring compliance with associated management processes and procedures, legislative requirements and race fields conditions from approved wagering service providers.

This role will see you responsible for such things as:

  • Delivering the agreed internal audit program;
  • Develop Audit Reports for the Board and/or Sub Committees of the Board, as required;
  • Alert senior management to actual and potential risks as identified by audits;
  • Evaluate information technology system processes for security, completeness and accuracy;
  • Assist with special projects and operational audits;
  • Maintain client confidentiality and develop strong networks within the Racing Industry.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be a degree and CA/CPA/CIA qualified accountant, with experience in applying financial system audits and internal audit practices. You will have strong comprehension of audit standards, confidence in interpreting internal procedures and knowledge of the wagering landscape.

You will be highly analytical with demonstrated project management skills. Your exemplary written and communications skills will assist in your ability to consult, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict and be assertive when necessary. You will have demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality and you will be proficient with computer systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
